How Glamorous Are Hollywood Stars' Lives

The Hollywood stars that you often see glamorous in front of their fans are also like the ordinary people. Of course, no matter how popular and gorgeous they are, these people are still humans, just like us. Their only difference from the regular people is that they are seen on TV and have to be at their best at all times. However, if you think that their lives are something that everyone should envy, you must think again.

As you can see, these people have the responsibility to take care of their faces and bodies, in order to have a lasting career. In fact, do you know that Anne Hathaway reportedly on a 500 calorie diet program?

Just imagine the difficulties that Ms. Hathaway has experienced in following a crash diet that requires her to take 500 units of calories per day. We all know that this amount is way below the required calories amount, and yet, there are some people who are compelled to take it, because it is dictated by their profession.

Why did Anne Hathway decide to follow this crash diet? It is because she has to. In order to stay perfect for her upcoming role in a movie she will make, she need to undergo this diet program to achieve the desired weight fast.

This is what most stars do whenever they have movies to make that require them to be in perfect shape – the Hollywood crash diet. While this diet is effective as these famous people are able to lose 16-20 pounds in just a few weeks, there are some health and weight experts who will discourage you from following this program. The reason – your body might not be able to withstand the low amount of calories, which is set at 500 units. However, if you really want to be like your favorite start, then it is really up to you to take the risk.

A List Of The Ten Best Chinese Movie Stars

The 10 best Chinese movie stars range from lovely ladies to archetypal leading men, martial arts heroes to smoldering gangster film icons. Like the stars of any country, the ten best Chinese movie stars can disappear into a role while still bringing their own unique charisma to the part. Here they are, the ten best Chinese movie stars, icons in their homeland and, in some cases, across the world as well.

Bruce Lee – Though his life was tragically cut short, the martial arts icon who really started it all made a worldwide impact in a very short amount of time. He was truly one of the best Chinese movie stars the world has ever seen, and as such, tops our list.

Chow Yun-Fat - Hong Kong's answer to Steve McQueen, Clint Eastwood and every other tough leading man who could truly act, Chow Yun-Fat is definitely one of the ten best Chinese movie stars to grace the screen. From iconic hitman roles in John Woo's "A Better Tomorrow" and "The Killer" to the lead in the trans-national hit "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," Chow's career is unmatched.

Jackie Chan – The king of stunts and martial arts comedy is our list of Chinese movie stars' equivalent to Buster Keaton or Harold Lloyd. In China, he is also a singing sensation.

Maggie Cheung – A beautiful Chinese actress, Cheung began in typical girlfriend roles, subordinate to male stars. But, as she became one of the ten best Chinese movie stars, her personality and roles grew, until she carried many a film on her own, including the French film "Irma Vep," in which she played a fictionalized version of herself.

Zhang Ziyi - The youngest of our best Chinese movie stars, Zhang hit the screen in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and hasn't looked back since. Youthfully beautiful, she is also believable in martial arts roles, making her a star to watch.

Jet Li – Trained in martial arts in a real Shaolin temple, Li has crossed over to America and is now one of our biggest Chinese movie stars. Early films like "Once Upon a Time in China" showcased unmatched acrobatic skill.

Tony Leung – Another Hong Kong star who has made his mark in international film is Chow Yun-Fat's co-star in Woo's "Hard-Boiled." He is believable as a tough cop or, in Ang Lee's "Lust, Caution," a disillusioned Chinese official.

Gong Li – This beauty is truly one of the most graceful and dignified Chinese movie stars, her look perfect for period pieces. No list of the best Chinese movie stars would be complete without her.

Simon Yam – A character actor and often a villain, Yam is one of the most versatile actors on our list of Chinese movie stars. His work in John Woo's "Bullet in the Head" cannot be touched.

Brigitte Lin - The lead in "The Bride With White Hair," known in America for her role in "Chungking Express," is the final entry on our list of the ten best Chinese movie stars. She is known for playing tough characters at odds with her striking beauty.

Here Is A List Of A Few Great Old American Movies

Is there anything more all-American than Saturday night at the movies? Popcorn, a drink, and someone's hand to hold — it doesn't get much better than that!
To celebrate our nation's birthday, here is a list of a few great American movies of the past 50 years that represent our country in a variety of ways. There was no way to keep this list to 12 and have included the entire history of film, so here's the best since 1962.

1. To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)

Based on Harper Lee's brilliant novel, this movie should be required watching for every child in our country. Though adaptations of books to film are often disappointing, this one delivers, in large part because of the Oscar winning portrayal of Atticus Finch by Gregory Peck.

2. The Graduate (1967)

The American dream seen through the eyes of an indifferent college grad. An entire generation cringed at the line "I have one word for you… plastics." Benjamin Braddock (Dustin Hoffman) personified the ennui of young adults then… and now. Anne Bancroft, as Mrs. Robinson, was the epitome of the bored 1960's housewife. As sad as the story is, it's oddly inspiring too.

3. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969)

The charming and impossibly handsome Butch (Paul Newman) and Sundance (Robert Redford) are the most lovable criminals ever seen on screen. As bank robbers in the late 19th century, Butch and Sundance were emblematic of the lawless wild west. We root for them even though we know they’re the bad guys. There's nothing more All-American than a western, and no pairing of two American actors more appealing than Newman and Redford.

4. Dirty Harry (1971)

Harry, lawman turned renegade, is the personification of all the anger and frustration felt by victims of violent crime. Taking the law into his own hands, Harry is controversial, despicable and sympathetic all at the same time. Clint Eastwood's Harry Callahan has become the icon of payback. Dirty Harry was the film that introduced this particular genre — followed by Die Hard, Terminator, and the like.

5. American Graffiti (1973)

Has there ever been a movie that felt more all-American than this? A hot car, a hot girl, the last night of summer — and Ron Howard, too! George Lucas's first big hit, it continues to resonate 40 years after its release because the theme of growing up and leaving home never gets old.

6. Annie Hall (1977)

Perhaps a little too skewed toward the East Coast version of all-American, Annie Hall still has to be on this list for so exquisitely capturing a particular moment in our country's history, and for it's love stories — both between Annie (Diane Keaton) and Alvy (Woody Allen) and between Woody Allen and New York City.

7. Coming Home (1978)

There have been a lot of movies about the Vietnam war, ranging from the intense and violent to the brave and heroic (Born on the 4th of July). Coming Home is an intimate story about the overwhelming repercussions of the war on 3 very different people — a soldier, his wife, and her paraplegic lover. Jane Fonda and Jon Voight are mad sexy.

The Fortune Of A Movie Star

The best working definition of a movie star was advanced in 1957 by Edgar Morin, the French philosopher, in his book Les Stars. This is translated from the French, so cut M. Morin some slack:

"The star is a star because the technical system of film develops and excites a projection/identification that culminates in divinization precisely when focusing on what man knows to be the most affecting thing in the world: A beautiful human face." In other words, as the beholder projects her own feelings upon an actor while identifying with the actor's character, there is a moment of crystallization – perhaps like beatification of a saint? — where the actor becomes a divine.

This process was born about a century ago, when the close-up on faces projected larger-than-life dazzled viewers at the nickelodeons. But when so many watch films on laptops and other devices that make the figures smaller-than-life, are audiences still transported by stars? That's the question posed by Ty Burr in his book, Gods Like Us.

One of Burr's more provocative observations is about Sandra Bullock. No sooner did the popular comedienne reboot her image as a serious actress in The Blind Side, which earned her an Oscar, than the news about her husband's infidelities hit the tabloids. Despite three movies, two hits and an Oscar to her credit that year, she had successfully scaled Hollywood's Olympus. But when it was revealed that her husband had been serially cheating on her," observes Mr. Burr, "Bullock no longer functioned in the public fan sphere as a movie star, but a reality star."

Is old-school stardom possible in the age of Twitter and TMZ? I'd argue yes, in the rare cases of figures, Justin Timberlake, say, whose faces are not on the covers of supermarket tabloids.

You Can Enjoy Music With Your Baby

Music is always the integral part of our lives. Think of what happens when you can no longer hear musical sounds. The ringtone on your cell phone would go unheard, and the musical vibrations of the tornado warning system would be completely missed. Think of what happens when you are no longer able to move your body. You cannot get up and chase your children around the room, and you have trouble answering the door when a friend drops by for a visit. Rather than walking on your own two feet and enjoying the music of life, you have to rely on awkward mobility devices and listen to more basic, boring sounds all day.

It is obvious that music is central to the enjoyment of life. Singers who are able to make a living creating music are paid huge salaries, are considered celebrities, and at times are worshipped by followers. This is not just because they are attractive or have great voices. It is because they music they create touches the lives of their fans. Their music makes life more enjoyable, allows fans to express complicated emotions they cannot put into words themselves, and even helps young adults discover themselves.

Music sets the mood for so many important occasions in life, and that starts at very young ages. Your toddler will enjoy the upcoming holiday season by learning Christmas carols and singing songs at Thanksgiving. They will hear the gobble gobble of the turkey as a melodic tune they can run around the house squealing. Their enjoyment of life will come through music over and over again as their life progresses.

Do you want to enjoy this music along with your child? Of course you do, so here are five ways you can do that:

Pick them up and dance with them. As they experience movement through your body, they will learn how to move their own bodies. As they get older, put them down and encourage them to move with you, but in their own unique way.

Take a music class. There are many early childhood music programs around, so you should easily find something suitable for you and your little one to enjoy together.

Watch children's programs that are musically inclined. Even something as simple as watching The Wiggles can get your little one moving. These programs are on the child's level, but you can have fun mimicking the movements on the screen as well.

Put your child on the "stage." If you have a child who loves music, allow them to put on shows for you. Pop some popcorn, get comfortable on the couch, and allow them to go through their favorite songs with dance moves they have put together themselves. Remember, you should encourage an encore for every performance.

Listen to music while you fold laundry or wash dishes. Make music a natural part of your home, almost like a backdrop to everything else happening in the home. Your child will benefit tremendously, and it will lift your mood as well.
You should expose your children to a wide variety of instruments and types of music. You never know what they will love and what will shape their personality later in life!

Sweden Loreen Has Won The Eurovision Song Contest

Sweden Loreen
The singing grannies who hail from the Udmurt region of central Russia have captured plenty of hearts but couldn't quite win the Eurovision Song Contest, held Saturday evening in Baku, Azerbaijan.

They came in a distant second to Sweden's Loreen and her song "Euphoria." It may have been Sweden's biggest victory over Russia since 1700 at the battle of Narva — which probably didn't feature the special effects, zooming cameras and relentless passion that define Eurovision.

Euphoria has already topped the charts in five countries, including Sweden and neighbouring Finland. Norway had the dubious honour of last place.

Bagpipes, blindfolds and water fountains all featured in a typically extravagant contest, as well as a celebrated group of Russian pensioners, who performed Party for Everyone, a cross between a traditional folk tune and a dance track, to rapturous applause.

Ireland, who were represented by Jedward for the second year in a row, came 19th - with 46 points - an unexpected slump on their previous performance in 2011, which saw them come eighth.

Their performance of pop track Waterline closed with the 20-year-old Grimes twins jumping into a fountain in the middle of the stage.

This is an annual evening devoted to pop music, in all its excess. The Jedward twins from Ireland wore knight-in-shining-armor-meets-Buck-Rogers outfits. Epaulettes (of the John Paul Jones variety) popped up more than once. The Turks had a nautical theme, with vaguely Japanese-looking waves on the screen behind them, an occasional anchor popping up, and male dancers in capes who formed a boat at one point. ("Hope this lot go to Somalia with their ship," read one tweet.)

Sweden has won the Eurovision Song Contest.

Bookies favourite 28-year-old Loreen topped the leader board with 372 points for her club hit ‘Euphoria’, which has already reached number one in the charts back home.

“I couldn’t believe it. It was like everything just stopped. And still, I can’t really believe it. It will take me a couple of hours before I do,” said the former Swedish Idol winner.

There was a collective sigh of relief from many European countries when Sweden took the crown on Saturday night. The triumph means Stockholm will arrange next year’s song contest.

Though normally an honour for the winning nation, it’s seen as an unnecessary expense for some cash-strapped countries in these austere times.

Assange shot to fame earlier that same year when WikiLeaks enraged Washington by leaking thousands of secret US documents on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

After he was arrested in London in December 2010 he spent more than a week in jail before being freed to live under strict bail conditions amounting to virtual house arrest.

Many Of The Players In The Game Of Thrones Hold Honor Paramount

Game Of Thrones
Many of the players in the Game of Thrones hold honor paramount—that's how we got into this messy clash of kings. But in this week's episode, deceit and betrayal reign.

Who betrayed their family and friends? Who had their prized possessions stolen from them? And who came thisclose to losing everything? Find out now:

If Daenerys Targaryen's three baby dragons are the metaphorical equivalent of the atomic bomb, we've got some rogue nukes out there in east.

Dany spent the episode, entitled "The Old Gods and the New," trying to buy ships and an army for her triumphant return to the Seven Kingdoms, only to return home to Xaro Xhoan Daxos' palace to find her prized possessions stolen and many of her men slain.

It appeared that one of those nasty, corrupt warlocks was carrying the toddler dragons off as the episode ended. Dark magic and dragon fire could be a pretty destructive combination, one thinks.

"Where are my dragons?" a distraught Dany shouted. (Poor Dany. Can't she marry Jon Snow already and take over the world as its true king and queen?) While Dany was suffering in the east, the west, as usual, was full of traitors.

The episode opened with the turncloak Theon Greyjoy seizing a lightly guarded Winterfell with a skeleton crew. "You don't give commands any more, little lord," Theon told Brandon Stark, whom he once might have considered his brother.

Winterfell: Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) is working really hard to win the prize of most despised character. He comes raging in to take Winterfell from sweet little Lord Bran (Isaac Hempstead-Wright). In the process of flexing his new power, Theon gruesomely beheads Rodrik (Ron Donachie). Fortunately for Rickon (Art Parkinson) and Bran, Theon is largely still led by his libido and falls for Osha's (Natalia Tena) savage distractions. Osha, we've never loved you more.

Stark Camp: We know that no good can come from Robb's (Richard Madden) infatuation with Lady Talisa, the battlefield nurse. And in case we forgot, Mama Catelyn (Michelle Fairley) shows up just in time to remind Robb—and us—that he is promised to another. But there are more important things to worry about: Robb finally learns of Theon's treachery and Winterfell falling to the Greyjoys. Rage, rage, rage.

Qarth: For someone as awesome as the Mother of Dragons, it's really hard for a Khaleesi to get some damn ships and get started in this war. Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) is denied, propositioned and then—as if things couldn't get worse—she returns to find her people killed and baby dragons stolen. Who took them? We don't know. Who killed her people? We don't know that yet either. RIP Irri (Amrita Acharia). By the way, where was Jorah (Iain Glen)? We missed his pretty face and confessions of love admiration.

King's Landing: Well Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) didn't get torn limb from limb by an angry mob like we hoped, but fingers crossed for next week. On the upside Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) did get to slap him again. So satisfying. Of course, Joffrey has absolutely no regard for anyone, including his hostage/fiancée. Fortunately for Sansa (Sophie Turner), Sandor Clegane (Rory McCann) was there to save her from a gang rape. Family-friendly programming here, people.

Beyond the Wall: Jon Snow (Kit Harington) & Co. are working up in some pretty bleak territory when they come across some wildlings. Sweet dear Jon Snow who can't kill a woman, even she'd love to see him dead. Ygritte (Rose Leslie) gives him a run for his money, literally. By nightfall they are snuggling up. Granted she is tied up and trying to tease him. That oath of chastity has got to be bothersome. P.S. While we love Jon Snow's beautiful mop of hair, why does he never wear a hat?

Arya Stark, meanwhile, continued to impress Lord Tywin Lannister in her duties as his cupbearer at Harrenhal. Through not in the books, this Arya-Tywin interaction has had some of the show's best character development to date. Tywin revealed that Jaime Lannister has dyslexia and he used to tutor his son four hours a day. (Tywin is also more likable on the show than in the books.) He praised Arya's smarts ("Maybe you should devise our next battle plan") and when Tywin asked the Stark girl what killed her father, she said, "Loyalty." How true. Sad, but how true.

The moment where characters start to lose control is an exciting point in every story. And on tonight's Game of Thrones, some of our favorites battled to hold onto power in the face of naked rebellion. Theon struggled to control his captured Northerners, Joffrey struggled to control bitter mobs, Arya struggled to protect her identity and Jon Snow struggled to capture a hot Wildling prisoner. Perhaps most surprising, Dany will now have to struggle to keep her dragons (that last line is still echoing in my ears).

So let's stay calm as we make our way to the lifeboats, breaking down "The Old Gods and the New."

What drives Theon, and what we heard in his boastful, showy speeches yet again, is a need to trumpet not just his importance, but his existence. As the hostage/guest in the large, busy household of a lord with many other children, and as the son his father all but forgot, Theon always feels the need to assert himself, as if the world was constantly trying to forget about him (which, given his prickly personality, it probably was). His words and actions are all about trying to convince others that he matters -- and trying to convince himself too.

But you could see that he really didn't want to execute Cassel: Killing men in combat was one thing, but this was a very different affair. But he was in an impossible position, which you could see by the look on his face. He risked alienating his own men with one choice and the people of Winterfell with the other. That's to say nothing of the chunk of his soul that's been carved away by turning on the house he grew up in. He didn't always hate them, one surmises, which is why he couldn't answer Bran's question. The tragedy of Theon is that he's never had a safe place to put his love -- not with his family, not with his foster family -- and so his need for affection and attention slowly curdled into resentment and a tendency to bully.

"You are truly lost," Cassel says with a sneer, and even though Theon manages to eventually separate the old man's head from his body, Theon does look lost in that moment. There's no triumph in what he's done; his customary swagger is gone. He's torn between the Stark code he grew up with and the iron price his father demands. The old gods and the new give him no peace, and thus he retreats further behind a wall of brutality and posturing.

When he wasn't looking, Arya stole a note from Tywin that contained her brother Robb Stark's name, and is forced to use a second of the three deaths Jaqen H'ghar promised her covering up the theft.

Her half-brother (if anyone truly believes Ned Stark would father a bastard son, which your humble author does not) Jon Snow meanwhile refused to kill a wildling woman he captured named Ygritte, and she quickly develops something of a crush on him. You can see a line being drawn between Snow and Greyjoy, who were both somewhat of outsiders at Winterfell. Snow can't bring himself to execute a woman, while Greyjoy is pathetically chopping the head off an old man.

Jim Parsons Won The Golden Globe Award For Best Performance In A Television Series

Jim Parsons
The Big Bang Theory, an American comedy television series created and executive produced by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. Like the name of the series itself, with the exception of the first episode—"Pilot"—episode titles of The Big Bang Theory always start with "The", and resemble the name of a scientific principle, theory or experiment, whimsically referencing a plot point or quirk in the episode. As of April 26, 2012, 109 episodes have aired.

In 2010, Jim Parsons won an Emmy Award for "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series," and in 2011 he won the Golden Globe Award for "Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical," for his portrayal of Sheldon Cooper on THE BIG BANG THEORY. His performance also earned him a People's Choice nomination for "Favorite TV Comedy Actor" and the 2010 NAB Television Chairman's Award, which honors significant breakthroughs in television. Parsons was nominated for the TCA Award for "Individual Achievement in Comedy" two years in a row (2009 and 2010), and won the award in 2009. Recently, he received a nomination for "Best Actor in a Comedy Series" by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association for its very first Critics' Choice Television Awards.

In 2011, Parsons received a Theatre World Award for his debut Broadway performance as Tommy Boatwright in the Tony Award-winning revival of "The Normal Heart," starring opposite Ellen Barkin, John Benjamin Hickey and Joe Mantello. "The Normal Heart" was also presented with the Drama Desk Award for "Outstanding Revival of a Play" and "Outstanding Ensemble Performance." A critical sensation, the show also received nominations from The Outer Critics Circle for "Outstanding Revival of a Play," as well as five Tony Award nominations. The play ended its 12-week run at the Golden Theatre on July 10. Parsons' additional stage credits include "The Castle" for the Manhattan Ensemble Theater, "The Countess" for the Globe Theater, and "The Tempest" and "As You Like It" for the Houston Shakespeare Festival.

Later this year, Parsons will guest star on an episode of the sitcom "iCarly," starring Miranda Cosgrove.

On the big screen, Parsons will appear this fall in the comedy "The Big Year," opposite Rashida Jones, Anjelica Huston, Steve Martin, Jack Black, and Owen Wilson. Directed by David Frankel, the film is based on Mark Obmascik's tome about three men who try to outdo each other during a year-long competition to spot the rarest birds in North America. Parsons will play an avid birder in the contest. He will also appear in the upcoming feature film, "The Muppets," opening in theaters Thanksgiving 2011.

His other film credits include Todd Phillips' "School for Scoundrels," opposite Billy Bob Thorton and Jon Heder, and Chris Terrio's "Heights" opposite Glenn Close and James Marsden. Parsons also delivered scene-stealing performances in several independent films, including "Garden State," "Gardner of Eden" and "The Great New Wonderful."

Parsons earned a Masters in Fine Arts degree from the Old Globe Theater/University of San Diego and a BA from the University of Houston. Born and raised in Houston, he now resides in Los Angeles. His birth date is March 24.

Prior to THE BIG BANG THEORY, Kaley Cuoco was best known to television audiences for her role as Bridget Hennessy in the series "8 Simple Rules." Her other television credits include a recurring role on "Charmed," and guest appearances on "Complete Savages" and "Prison Break." Cuoco also starred in the cable movies "Fat Like Me," "Crimes of Fashion" and "The Hollow," and was seen in the miniseries, "10.5." Her other television movie credits are "Alley Cats Strike," "Toothless," "Attack of the 50Ft Woman," "Growing Up Brady," and the miniseries, "Dean Koontz's Mr. Murder." Additionally, Cuoco lent her voice to the animated series "Brandy and Mr. Whiskers" and "Loonatics Unleashed."

Cuoco began her acting career at a young age, modeling and appearing in commercials. Her first TV role was in 1992's "Quicksand: No Escape" opposite Donald Sutherland. She landed her first feature film role at the age of 8 in "Virtuosity." Her other film credits include "Picture Perfect," "Can't Be Heaven" and "Lucky 13." She also appeared on stage in community theater productions of "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Annie."

Recently, Cuoco appeared on the big screen in "Hop," opposite James Marsden. Additionally, she completed production on the independent feature, "The Last Ride," which is playing at film festivals across the country.

Cuoco is a gifted tennis player who also hikes, runs, rides horses, goes to the gym and spends time with her rescue dogs. She is involved in several charities, including EBMRF, the Humane Society, the Elisabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Animal Avengers and PETA.

Speaking of emotional, Molaro warns that you may want to keep the Kleenex nearby for the season finale, which ends on a "semi-cliff-hanger." Multiple endings were not shot, so there is no chance of a last-minute switcheroo.

"The last scene of the last episode of Season 5 is so amazing that I have yet to watch it without getting choked up," Molaro says. "That goes for the table read to the run-throughs to shooting for the cameras to sitting in editing. I have gotten choked up every single time. Everybody's in the scene. It is really great. I'm not saying this to be promotional; I love it. When it airs, I will sit at home with my wife in my living room and watch it and I promise you I will cry. There was a lot of thought about how we would do what we're trying to do and I think it turned out quite nicely. Maybe I'm just a big softie. Maybe you're dead inside! Who knows? All I know is I was crying."

Roy Thomas Baker, Famous For His Work With The Art Of Noise And Trevor Horn

Roy Thomas Baker
The producer of the first Cars album was Roy Thomas Baker, an Englishman best-known for his mile-high production work on the first four Queen albums. But although the album sounds like an immaculate studio production, Hawkes says the recorded versions are pretty close to how the songs sounded live. “We were the same arrangements we id on the demo—The most obvious difference is that we added the multi-track backing vocals, and did a fair number of overdubs. I do remember that on ‘Just What I Needed,’ Roy suggested we do two choruses at the end instead of just one.” By then Hawkes had already come up with the song’s trademark keyboard lick.

Producer, active 1970's to the present. Baker began career at Decca in England aged 14. Moved to Trident Studios. After co-founding Trident's record company Neptune, Baker began working with Queen whom he produced for five albums including the song "Bohemian Rhapsody".

Baker recalls his first hearing of the song: "We were going out to dinner one night and I met Freddie at his apartment in Kensington. He sat down at his piano and said, 'I'd like to play you a song that I'm working on at the moment.' So he played the first part and said, 'This is the chord sequence', followed by the interim part, and although he didn't have all the lyrics together yet, I could tell it was going to be a ballady number. He played a bit further through the song and then stopped suddenly, saying, 'This is where the opera section comes in.' We both just burst out laughing. I had worked with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company at Decca where I learned a lot about vocals and the way vocals are stressed, so I was probably one of the few people in the whole world who knew exactly what he was talking about.

"It was the first time that an opera section had been incorporated into a pop record, let alone a Number One. It was obviously very unusual and we originally planned to have just a couple of 'Galileos'. But things often have a habit of evolving differently once you're inside the studio, and it did get longer and bigger. The beginning section was pretty spot on and the end section was fairly similar, although we obviously embellished it with guitars and lots of overdubs. But the opera section ended up nothing like the original concept, because we kept changing it and adding things to it."

Roy Thomas Baker, produttore dei primi 4 album dei Queen, ci illustra le varie tracce che compongono il leggendario pezzo "Bohemian Rhapsody" tratto dall'album "A Night at the Opera" del 1975. Baker has produced and added his distinctive sound to artists such as The Cars, Ian Hunter, Nazareth, Guns N' Roses, The Who, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Foreigner, Journey, Ozzy Osbourne, Mötley Crüe, T.Rex, Devo, The Stranglers, Dusty Springfield, Yes, Cheap Trick, Gasolin', The Darkness and The Smashing Pumpkins.

Along with engineers Mike Stone, Gary Lyons and Geoff Workman, Baker took the helm on a variety of consoles at the sessions, including a custom-built desk at Rockfield, a Cadac at the Roundhouse, and "an old, blue Neve with big knobs on it" at Wessex. When Baker and Queen retreated to SARM (East) Studios for the mixing sessions, they were treated to a Trident B console.

"That console was the second B-series model that Trident delivered from Malcolm Toft. It was a great board with such a unique sound, although I couldn't say why. I noticed that when it was resold, it was described as the board used to mix 'Bohemian Rhapsody', and I think they got more money than they originally paid for it. We used an MCI machine at SARM which we called 'Munchy, Crunchy and Intermittent', because it was always falling apart!"

Now famous for his work with The Art Of Noise and Trevor Horn, and productions for Spandau Ballet and Mick Jagger, Gary Langan was a fresh-faced, 18-year-old assistant engineer at SARM when he came to work alongside Baker, Stone and Lyons on the 'Bohemian Rhapsody' mix. Langan's first task at the sessions was to put together a composite multitrack master from the three distinct sections of the song. He says: "Nobody really knew how it was going to sound as a whole 6-minute song until it was spliced together. I was standing at the back of the control room and you just knew that you were listening for the first time to a big page in history. Something inside me told me that this was a red letter day, and it really was."

One new item of equipment which was installed at SARM only days before the 'Bohemian Rhapsody' mix was the Alison computerised mixing system. Langan laughs: "It was the first automated system in the world, but it was ridiculous because it never worked properly! You had to store data on two tracks, so you'd end up with no more than 22 tracks of music on your tape, to provide room for the data."

Imagine Dragons In "It's Time" Music Video

Imagine Dragons have been waiting three years for today: On Tuesday (April 17), they premiered their video for "It's Time," the breakout (currently at #17 and climbing on rock radio) single from their Continued Silence EP. The clip represents the first fruits of their new deal with Interscope Records, and, for a band that has taken its time to get to this point, well, they're definitely enjoying the moment.

"We had this idea in our heads for a long time, but, you know, we could never make it," frontman Dan Reynolds told MTV News. "Until we found a director who could bring it to life. We went out to Barstow [California] — which is between Las Vegas and L.A., and we've made that drive many times, because we're from Vegas — and we shot it on a dry lake bed. It was our first time doing a music video, so it was a really awesome experience."

And while the clip — basically an updated take on the old "Jack and the Beanstalk" tale, with the band starring as mystic travelers in a very dark world, carrying a very special parcel — certainly looks cool, it also works as a rather apt metaphor for Imagine Dragons' rise. Since forming in Vegas in 2009, Imagine Dragon (the current MTV PUSH Artist of the Week) have been on one long voyage, one that's certainly had its share of ups and downs along the way.

"I remember one gig [where] we were playing a casino, in Vegas, and it was a really small stage," guitarist Wayne Sermon smiled. "We played a four-hour set — we'd do those two to three times a week — and we were exhausted, and Dan passes out in the middle of the last song, falls on the drum set, the drums go everywhere, and it was horrible, but we finished the song."

"And all these drunk guys were like, 'Wooo!' " Reynolds laughed. "But it didn't hurt; I was so tired, it was sort of nice to have a little break."

So with their first proper video out in the world, and plans to begin work on their full-length debut already in the works, Imagine Dragons continue to march on. And in that regard, things are still the same as they've ever been.

"It's crazy. We've been a band for three years, living on the road, eating bean burritos every day, and we're still eating bean burritos every day, but it's been incredible to see the support that we've gotten," Reynolds said. "We really owe so much to our fans who, from the very beginning, have been sharing the music. And we live in a world where things can happen so quickly, and we're glad we've had three years to really prepare. ... We've been doing it for a little while, and it feels good ... and right."

NBC's The Voice Showcased The Finalists From Cee Lo Green And Adam Levine's Teams

For its second week of live competition, NBC's The Voice showcased the finalists from Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine's teams Monday night, as last week's coaches Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton relaxed and commented. With six members on each team, that meant 12 singers vied for America's votes. On Tuesday (9 ET/PT), the lowest three vote-getters from each team sing for their lives, and the coaches decide which two from each team head home.
Indie-pop singer Katrina Parker, with orchestral accompaniment, performed Smashing Pumpkins' Tonight, Tonight. Christina complimented Katrina's "gorgeous" voice, but added, "I kinda wanted you to rock out a bit more." Cee Lo said the song choice was inappropriate. Adam was "really happy" with Katrina's "no frills" performance. "You killed it," he said.

Former Mouseketeer Tony Lucca tackled Peter Gabriel's In Your Eyes with emotion. Adam was "so proud" of the way Tony sang one of his "favorite songs ever," and was impressed with how the singer worked around the falsetto parts. Christina worried that Tony could be "one-dimensional."

Kim Yarbrough, who's been singing for 40 years, powered through Adele's Rolling in the Deep. Blake said the performance "got better" but was sharp at times. Cee Lo thought Kim should have picked a different song, and Adam agreed. "You're an unbelievable" singer, but "there were some problems," he said.

Eighteen-year-old Mathai sang a playful version of John Legend's Ordinary People. Christina liked Mathai's adlibs, but said "it was a little lounge-y for me." Blake said Mathai's confidence drew him in, and Adam said he "couldn't be happier" with the singer's "magical" performance.

Country singer Karla Davis surprised the coaches by singing Airplanes by B.o.B. Christina said Karla had a "sweet voice," but was too quiet. Blake said, "You did as good as you could do with that song," and Adam, though proud of Karla's risky song choice, said she sounded better in rehearsal.

Musical-theater star Pip, 19, went rock with When You Were Young by The Killers. Christina told Pip she "wasn't connected" to the song, and it sounded like he was trying too hard. Adam said, "You're a great singer," but that he needs to work on being "a little grittier."

Team Cee Lo

Hawaiian 21-year-old Cheesa belted out disco tune Don't Leave Me This Way by Thelma Houston. "It was dramatic, it was awesome," said Blake. Adam agreed that Cheesa had a "great" performance that "had Cee Lo written all over it." Cee Lo said it was "wonderful."

James Massone, 23, gave the ladies love with a mellow Don't Know Why by Norah Jones. "I almost threw my panties onstage," said Blake. Christina liked "the more subtle approach," but noticed pitch problems. Cee Lo called James "solid," though he "could have projected more on the higher notes."

Rocker Juliet Simms earned rave reviews for her powerful Roxanne by The Police. Adam said, "You're the best performance I've seen so far, as much as I hate having to admit that." Christina said, "I was so into it. Your voice is dope." Blake said, "You're so good," and Cee Lo said, "Just wow."

Broadway performer Tony Vincent sang most of Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears from atop a giant podium, surrounded by dancers. Blake didn't know what to make of the staging. Christina said, "I appreciate the production value," but "there were a lot of vocal restraints from the song." Cee Lo agreed that the song restricted Tony, and said he's a "far better singer than any one performance."

Model Erin Martin was a sexy Cleopatra surrounded by shirtless men for Walk Like An Egyptian by The Bangles. "Here we go again with the male strippers," said Blake, recalling similar staging last week. Christina enjoyed the theatrics, but said Erin "could have brought it harder" with a bigger stage presence. Cee Lo commended Erin for learning the tricky song, but agreed with Christina. "I want you to be more aggressive," he said.

Recovering drug addict Jamar Rogers rocked Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz, flanked by guitarists on stilts. Blake, who had to wait for the crowd to calm down before he spoke, was again unimpressed by the stage hoopla. "Jamar is too good to have all that crap behind him." Cee Lo disagreed: "Do you hear the roar of this crowd?" Adam said, "You embody what this show is with what you just did."

The Most Fashionable Album "Need You Now" Is My Best Loved Album

In today's real American South, Jello shots are just as prevalent as Jack Daniels, and a game gal like Hillary Scott is as likely to lust after a guy "in black pearl buttons, lookin' just like Springsteen" as she is a Johnny Cash type. After all, the New Jersey rocker copped his style partly from the Man in Black.

Lady Antebellum -- the rising country-pop trio in which Scott shares vocal duties with the perpetually pearl-buttoned Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood, who handles background vocals and guitar -- is a product of the post-Faith and Tim New South of two-career marriages and relatively guilt-free premarital hook-ups. But its impressively well-considered second album reveals a connection to the craftsmanship and flair for sordid detail that's served country artists since the heyday of George and Tammy and Dolly and Porter.

Country music always has been about the collision between contemporary life and the old ways. Lady Antebellum updates the genre's formulas in the usual manner, spicing them up with rock riffs and unapologetic lustiness. What's most interesting about "Need You Now," which already has spawned a huge hit with its title track, is the album's focus on one timeworn theme: regret. This young band is making some old-soul music, dressed up in the latest fashions.

That title song raises the album's curtain and dictates the terms. It's maybe the most romantic song ever written about a drunken booty call. Singing about the draw of an old beau on a lonely night, Scott is emotional but not too dramatic: a Carrie Bradshaw type, making do with diminished expectations. Answering her, Kelley sounds more old-fashioned. He croaks, he growls, he spits out the crow he's eating.

The song's effective arrangement -- Lady A, as the trio is known, co-wrote this track and most of the others here, and co-produced the album with Paul Worley -- updates the sound of heartache, as a minimalist New Age piano couplet echoes over some classic soft-rock guitar.

Beyond the title track, "Need You Now" keeps exploring the subtleties of the sadder but maybe-wiser life. "American Honey" wallows in nostalgia. "Love This Pain" is a romantic masochist's lament. "Hello World" presents a full-on midlife crisis; Kelley hams it up, though he misses the chance to do a Porter Wagoner-style recited verse.

The group's extremely solid, polished sound leaves little room for fanciful flights, but despite the slickness of the arrangements, Lady A delivers an emotional punch.

It's unlikely that Lady A intended "Need You Now" to be a concept album, but it does cohesively describe the moment in young adulthood when wild promise starts to give way to more realistic expectations. Scott has a gift for strongly expressing tentative feelings, like cautious hope on "Perfect Day" and recovered self-respect in "Ready to Love Again." Kelley is far less subtle, and his meaty gestures often threaten to overwhelm the fine material. But Lady A is making progress in its effort to balance comforting clichés with new realities.

American Idol Eliminated Erika Van Pelt And Determined Top 9 Finalists

American Idol eliminated Erika Van Pelt and determined its eleventh-season Top 9 finalists during Thursday night's live results show broadcast on Fox.

Van Pelt, a 26-year-old from South Kingstown, RI, became the fourth finalist sent home from American Idol's eleventh season after she received the fewest home viewer votes following Wednesday night's performance show, which featured the Top 10 finalists performing Billy Joel songs.

"This is my dream. I actually have the opportunity to do music for the rest of my life. American Idol has made me a stronger person. I want to go out in a blaze of glory. It's the biggest adventure I've ever had in my life. Why wouldn't I chop my hair off? American Idol has already changed my life," Van Pelt said following her ouster.

Van Pelt's elimination became official after Idol judge Randy Jackson announced the show's judges were not going to prevent her elimination by using "The Judges' Save," which Jackson and fellow judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler can use once during the finals to prevent the elimination of a finalist who receives the fewest home viewer votes during a weekly performance round. Whether the decision not to "save" Van Pelt was unanimous was not revealed.

"This is such a difficult moment. The judges get one save. I'm going to go to them now for their decision. Will you use your one save of the season on Erika?" American Idol judge Ryan Seacrest asked."Unfortunately, Ryan, no. Sorry," Jackson said.

Van Pelt -- whom the judges had selected to be in the Top 13 as a "Wild Card" finalist -- had received mostly positive feedback with a hint of constructive criticism from the judges following her performance of Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind" on Wednesday's performance show.

"Yeah give it up! First of all, I love the look. I love the short do. It's hot; It's so different. Jennifer didn't even recognize you. Dude I love that and I love the vocals. You're one of the best singers in this whole thing this season right?" Jackson told Van Pelt.

"And listen... I'll give you one piece of advice, they were right. [Jimmy Iovine] was right about the oversinging and whatever, whatever, but those that can do should and those that can't do shouldn't. So at the end of that song... you can get into some runs and take those liberties, because you can do that. So go ahead and treat that song like it should be in the front. By the time you get to the end, wear us out because you got that, you know what I mean? Very, very nice. I love it."

"It was such a beautiful, beautiful vocal. I mean, when you went really... you were great. I love the hair... but I'd love to see you let loose vocally more at the end but also let loose all over your body to bring in that performance -- to really take us home -- because like [Randy] said, you have the chops to do that," Lopez said.

"And then when you incorporate that, it's like I wanted to see you unplant your feet and really move around and really feel what you were singing about. That would be my only note too, because like I said, the vocal was beautiful."

"Yeah, I agree with both of them. You could put more character into it, but later for that. We already know you can sing great. You put a lot of personality into that as Billy Joel did writing these songs, and I think you were just beautiful, just nice. Outstanding," Tyler added.

Prior to Van Pelt's elimination, Heejun Han and Deandre Brackensick were revealed to be the other members of this week's bottom three vote-getters.

In addition to Han and Brackensick, fellow finalists  Hollie Cavanagh, Colton Dixon, Skylar Laine, Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez, and Elise Testone also still remain in the running for American Idol's eleventh-season title.

Reasons For Chris Paul To Win

Many super stars are in NBA, famous for their own ability and talent. Chris Paul is one of them. What are the weapons for him to win so many people's heart?

 (1) Brain
When Allen Iverson gradually has fade out the line of sight of people, another small guard as fate breaks into our view - Chris Paul. With the same height, the same number, the fast speed and flexibility, he has already aroused so many people's eyes. However, the ways of Paul to win does not rely on the speed, but brain. His unique skill is to change the frequency and direction of his steps so that to make the defenses to lose balance. Except attack, Paul's abilities of passing and grabbing basketball are another weapon.

(2) Fighting Spirit
Lots of people will be cheated by Paul's innocent smile, actually, there store huge fighting spirit in his body. Only he takes a basketball, tie his shoes and go to the battlefield, he will change into another people. There only exist partners and opponents on playing field.

What lead to the result that the Chinese football team stays in a level that is not good enough? For a long time, our Chinese football team is lacking in good teenager players. That is the most important reason for the situation we are facing now. We can't neglect the problem. In most people's eyes, Our football organization always has the problems such as drug abuse, brutality. The payers always involve in gambling, while the judges often stuck into black whistle gates If we want to make sure that our football industry could develop steadily and rapidly, we should create a good system of management and supervisory.

There is no doubt that our football system has already had something wrong. For instance, the leaders are often enjoy the bad fame of corruption and bribery, the middle level players indulge themselves in the past glories, and the players of low levels, just don't work hard enough to develop themselves It is true that one man can never play football well. Only when the players join together to try their best, can we win the games. That is to say, we need lots of young players to join the game, they must be talented and love to do it if we can have enough young and talented players, we can improve our football level quickly.

The New Jersey Nets

Devin: It all starts with his jumper. After starting the season just 25% from 16-23 feet, Deron’s finally connecting on those shots at a stunning 63% clip (29/46) in the past nine. He’s getting the same looks off curls and ball screens that he’s gotten all year, but that didn’t translate to made shots for whatever ethereal (or undercover) reason. He hasn’t made a vast transformation as a player — he’s still the same point guard he’s always been, running the floor and finding open looks for everyoneeven if his teammates can’t keep up with him. But for at least the past nine games, Deron’s done a rapid-fire progression to the mean, centered around hitting from midrange.
Are there any guards left on this team? Is Marshon just ducking Ricky?
Are you counting out the great Jordan Farmar?
Okay, that’s a joke, but Farmar and Williams have seen success on the floor together. Either one can handle PG duties and create off the ball, and D-Will is big and quick enough to guard most of the NBA’s 2′s. Since the Wolves play a lot of two-point guard rotations with Rubio, Luke Ridnour, and J.J. Barea, the Nets shouldn’t have too many issues tonight.
The loss definitely hurts, though. While he may not throw the behind-the-back bounce passes with purpose that Ricky does, there are few rookies in the league (Kyrie may be the only comparable one) with MarShon’s combination of outside and inside scoring ability. Before MarShon Brooks, we generally had to hope that Anthony Morrow’s floater and fadeaway post-up jumper were enough to throw off defenses; now we’ve got Brooks deking, faking, and spinning galore. He’s used the backboard about as well as anyone I’ve seen on jumpers and floaters and has scored a bunch of buckets just on his ability to loft the shot higher and off the glass alone. He’s attacked Dwight Howard in the lane and scored. He’s hit his open and contested jumpers with stunning regularity. He dropped 15 points in a half on the 3rd-best defense in the league, then didn’t try to force his offense when they threw doubles at him in the second half. He’s more mature and confident than I think anyone expected, without crossing the line into arrogance, and his conservative passing approach (more often than not swinging the ball up top rather than forcing passes into the lane) beget his low assist totals rather than a penchant for ballhogging.
I know Timberwolves fans are counting their lucky cinnamon sticks that they’ve landed such a talented point guard in Ricky Rubio, but MarShon’s ability thus far to create from anywhere without overplaying his usefulness has been an equally bright light in a mostly dark New Jersey cloud. We wish him well and hope he’s back to 100% soon.
And if anything, MarShon’s staying out extra time so that Ricky doesn’t get shown up and lose his bid at the Rookie of the Year award. See? He’s selfless! He can create for others in unique ways!
Seems like the Nets are really bad at defending the pick-and-roll. How do they stop the Wolves’ guards from exploiting that?
By hoping that the Wolves bigs can’t exploit it. The Nets switch on nearly everything, which usually means that the ballhandler’s defender gets switched onto a smaller player, then scrambles to recover for his own man. Of course, this means that Shelden Williams, Kris Humphries, and Johan Petro have to recognize that double-teams 30 feet from the basket aren’t prudent, and the remainder of the team has to recognize that there’s one man heading to the basket and that one defender needs to rotate. For the generic team, it’s not wholly difficult, but with the Nets, it’s a lot of hoping and praying. Luckily, the Timberwolves boast one of the few centers whose hands I trust less than Johan Petro’s. But if Ricky Rubio’s getting penetration in the lane and Love’s using his wide frame to clear out space inside, it’s going to be yet another long night defensively.

King Lebron James

Fresh off his appearance on "Saturday Night Live," Charles Barkley changed mediums Wednesday, but continued with a familiar theme: LeBron James as passive superstar.
Asked on Chicago's "Waddle & Silvy Show" about the Heat forward failing to even attempt a single shot in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's overtime loss to the Golden State Warriors, Barkley said it was just more of the same.
"I think LeBron James' personality is he just defers," he told the ESPN radio affiliate.
Barkley said it was no surprise that when Dwyane Wade returned from a three-game absence due to a bruised left foot, James' scoring total went down.
"He went from scoring 30 points a game last week when Dwyane was out to when Dwyane came back, he stepped back a little bit," Barkley said. "I tell people, LeBron James is a great, great player. But I think he's just one of those nice guys, 'Well Dwyane's back, I'm going to defer to him.'
"That's all it could be. To not take a shot . . .
"My personal opinion is he just doesn't have an aggressive personality."
Barkley said it simply might be who LeBron is.
"You saw when Dwyane was out, LeBron had like monster games," Barkley said, with James named NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week each of the first two weeks of the season, even while missing a game last week due to a sprained left ankle. "He almost averaged a triple-double.
"He's a really nice guy. I've said that before. LeBron James is just a really nice guy."
James said following the loss to the Warriors that he simply was playing as a facilitator, praising the open looks the Heat got for the likes of Mario Chalmers.

On Volatility Among The NBA's Top Scorers

LeBron James is the most consistent of the NBA's top scorers. What's that worth? Who are the most volatile scorers in the league?
Follow @sbnation on Twitter, and LikeSBNation.com on Facebook.
Feb 2, 2012 - As we know based on the wide range of shooting percentages we see among the list of the NBA's top point producers, we know that not all scorers are created equal. Kobe Bryant is scoring a bit more than LeBron James per game this season, but Kobe needs four extra shooting possessions to reach that level. Carmelo Anthony is the league's No. 5 scorer, but takes more shots per game than two of the guys (Kevin Durant, Kevin Love) ahead of him on the list.
There's another way in which scorers differ: volatility. Some scorers are more reliable than others; there are the proverbial "you know you're going to get 20 points" guys and the "explosive scorers." We sometimes give credit to explosive scorers, even those in prominent offensive roles, because they could go off at any time and get their team back in the game.
But there's a flip side to that: they aren't necessarily dependable. In the NBA as in any competitive atmosphere, consistency has some importance. If a team's management doesn't know what they'll get out of a star any given night, it's hard to build a proper cast around him. Just how much of a drain excessive volatility is a question mark, at least for this column. (I have no doubt a team or three have conducted studies on the value of consistency, but there's nothing public or publicized in the NBA realm on that issue that I know of.) This exercise is meant to look at which players are volatile compared to their peers.
There are currently 15 players who have enough minutes to qualify for the leaderboards who are averaging 20 points per game this season, ranging from Dwight Howard's 20.1 average to Kobe's 30.0. To measure their scoring volatility, I borrowed a trick from finance: I took the standard deviations of the players' game-by-game scoring totals and divided by their scoring average. This gives us a volatility rating that allows us to compare 30-point scorers with 20-point scorers without bias.
What we found is not wholly surprising: 'Melo, who this week actually had a 1-point game, is the most volatile of the 20-point scorers this season, and not by a small margin. Anthony's game-by-game standard deviation is nearly half the size of his scoring average; he is almost as likely to have an extreme scoring performance (more than 34 percent above or below his average) as he is to have a normal one.
Howard, surprisingly, is right behind 'Melo. Seeing a big man so high on the list fights conventional wisdom, which is that since big men tend to have higher shooting percentages, their production is more reliable. While Kevin Love, Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge all seem to bolster that hypothesis with relatively low volatility marks, Howard -- a regular near the top of field goal percentage rankings -- is a blinking signal of doubt.
One possible explanation: Dwight earns so many free throw attempts and shoots them so poorly that if he has a bad day at the stripe, he's likely to have a bad day in the scoring column. (That the season has been short and that he had a monster scoring game against Golden State could affect things too, though the game didn't throw his average too far away from expectations.)
The other numbers aren't terribly surprising. LeBron is a clock; he's had just two games under 20 points in 21 outings and none under 16. Kevin Durant is similarly stable, with the second lowest volatility rating among the 20-point scorers. Chris Bosh is, other than Howard, the most volatile of the high-scoring big man, likely owing to his rare role as a third option on offense. (Not many third options average 20 a game.) Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings live up to their reputations as "explosive," and Russell Westbrook looks more like Derrick Rose every day.
Again, we don't know how important volatility in scoring really is, so it's hard to place value on the predictability LeBron, Durant and most of the big men provide. But it's worth keeping an eye on as we suss out our expectations for what players can provide and how consistently they should do so.

S.H.E Was Once Again Appointed As The Spokesperson For A Renowned Fashion Label In Taiwan

Taiwanese girl group S.H.E was once again appointed as the spokesperson for a renowned fashion label in Taiwan.
However, only Hebe Tien and Ella Chen turned up at the brand's promotional event yesterday.
The duo expressed that they were slightly disappointed because although S.H.E was supposed to endorse the brand together, band-mate Selina Jen could not attend the event.
Hebe and Ella then announced that they were making a phone call to Selina, causing the fans to go wild.
The trio sang Selina's latest single 'Everyone who loves me' over the phone. Their fans complimented Hebe and Ella for looking "pretty", and the pair jokingly replied, "They're good people, they know we're not bad."
Later, Hebe and Ella revealed that S.H.E will be filming a video for the brand early next year.
"We're looking forward to it. We missed the times the three of us spent together. Whenever we're together, we enter a world of our own. We have endless conversations. No matter if it's an album or movie promotions, if it's only one of us, we feel extremely lonely. However, next year's going to be a happy year," the pair said.
Hebe and Ella also let on that the three of them went to a KTV joint two nights ago to celebrate a friend's birthday. Selina was asked to sing many songs, because they wanted to hear the singer sing so badly. The pair also hoped Selina would return soon, so that they can hold a concert together.
When asked if it was taxing on Selina during her wedding in Changhua, Ella replied, "Selina had yet to recover fully, so she will feel tired when she overexerted herself. She's a person with strong willpower, and we're all happy for her because both weddings were perfectly done."
Ella also spoke on Selina's behalf, when the media asked about the latter's baby plans.
"She does not have any plans to get pregnant at the moment, because it all depends on her health. The doctor said that she had taken too much medicine previously, and it would take at least a year to detoxify her body. It's better for the baby that way," Ella commented.

Jennifer Garner Used Her Growing Baby Bump To Help Carry Some Products During A Shopping Trip

Jennifer Garner's third baby is already lending the actress a helping hand before he or she has even been born.
The heavily pregnant star used her growing baby bump to help carry some products during a shopping trip on Wednesday.
The 39-year-old mother-of-two held a phone to her ear and made her way around her local supermarket while resting a couple of items on her tummy.
Ready to pop: Actress Jennifer Garner shops for groceries in Brentwood, California on Wednesday
Dressed casually in a pair of jeans and trainers, the Juno actress wore a beige woolly sweater that clung to her stomach and showed her protruding belly button.
Shot from the side she seemed as though she could be close to having her third baby with Oscar-winner Ben Affleck any day now.
The brunette filled her supermarket trolley with healthy fruit and vegetables but at one point picked up two heart-shaped chocolate lollipops.
Big bump: Jennifer shows off her expanding waistline as she prepares for baby number three
She may have been buying them for her daughters Violet, six, and Seraphina, three.
Although she hasn't exactly specified when her new baby is due she did talk openly about her third pregnancy on the Ellen show back in September.
Jennifer told Ellen DeGeneres: 'The first trimester is just yuck. Kind of an all day sickness.'
Mommy and me: Jennifer with the youngest of her two daughters, Seraphina Affleck
'But after that, [it] is not a big thing.
'Except there is one big thing and that is, my bottom.
'You know how once you have kids you never ever pee by yourself again?
'At least one of them is always in there with you at all times.
'So the other day Violet is there with me and all of a sudden she went: "Oh Mum, we have to have a talk..."

Listen For 'Joyful Noise'

Warner Bros.' musical comedy "Joyful Noise," starring Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton, should come out singing this Martin Luther King holiday weekend, with a likely debut pushing $20 million by Monday night.
A story of two spirited women battling for creative control of their church choir should harmonize well with family audiences looking for an uplifting experience.
But fellow-newcomer "Contraband" from Universal, starring Mark Wahlberg as a reformed smuggler in yet another one-last-job movie, is also making a run for the high-teens during the four-day period.
And Disney's 3-D re-release of 1991's "Beauty and the Beast" is chasing the same high-teen dream, too, following last year's widely successful 3-D conversion of another animated classic, "The Lion King."
Paramount's "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" continues to thrill audiences, climbing back to the top of the box office chart during the midweek period. A likely gross in the mid-teens this weekend will power the action blockbuster toward a $200 million North American total by Monday night.
"Found-footage" phenomenon "The Devil Inside" from Paramount Insurge, which surprised everyone with its massive $33.7 million No. 1 debut last weekend, will likely see a steep drop and wind up with a gross of just over $10 million this weekend. No matter, though, since the micro-budget, R-rated film has already made a huge profit for the studio and should have nearly $50 million scared up by the end of the weekend.

Cameron Diaz Spark Speculation Of Boob Job

Cameron Diaz has sparked speculation of a breast enlargement after her latest outing in a tiny bikini.
The Charlie's Angels star, 39, was spotted on the beach in Hawaii over the holidays looking rather shapely, prompting rumours she's gone under the knife.
The actress is said to have had implants to boost her chest by a cup size, according to the National Enquirer.
There's something about Cameron: Miss Diaz has sparked speculation of surgery after her visit to Hawaii earlier this month
Secret boost? The star, pictured left earlier this month and right, in January 2011, is rumoured to have gone up a cup size
Plastic surgeon Dr Anthony Youn, who has not treated the star, told the publication: 'I believe she has had a breast augmentation using  relatively small silicone implants.'
'Since swelling can take severely weeks to settle down, I suspect she had the surgery at least two to three weeks ago.'
Cameron has previously said she'd prefer a more curvy figure, telling Marie Claire in 2009: 'I'd love to be more voluptuous. It's just not my body type."
The star, who had her nose fixed in 2006 after breaking it four times, said in 2010 that she would rule out more surgery.
Diversion tactic? The Bad Teacher star also unveiled a new haircut
'Yeah, well, hey. I’m not doing anything right now,' she told British Vogue. 'But we’ll see. So far, so good. But I’ll never say never to anything.'
As well as her curves, Cameron also unveiled a short new hair cut during the beach holiday with friends.
The star, who has previously dated Justin Timberlake and Alex Rodriguez, has most recently been romantically linked to rapper Diddy,
She will soon return to the big screen in the upcoming flick, What To Expect When You’re Expecting.
She joins an ensemble cast which includes Matthew Morrison, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker, Chace Crawford and Cheryl Cole.
She plays Jules – an aspiring singer and a host to a weight loss fitness show - in the Kirk Jones directed movie which is expected to hit screen in May.

Alan Cumming Ties The Knot With Grant Shaffer

Actor Alan Cumming has married his long-time love Grant Shaffer for the second time.
The couple celebrated the fifth anniversary of their civil partnership in London by exchanging vows in New York this weekend.
The 46-year-old Scot revealed the news on Twitter, writing: 'I just got married!' He posted a picture of the overjoyed couple embracing after the nuptials, held at the Soho Grand Hotel.
In the picture, Cumming and Shaffer are seen smiling and hugging while their are applauded by their friends and family.
'I just got married!' Alan Cumming revealed that he exchanged vows with Grant Shaffer over the weekend in New York
The Good Wife star wrote later: 'On the 5th anniversary of our wedding in London Grant and I tied the knot again in NYC!!! #eatmericksantorum'
His message 'Eat me Rick Santorum' refers to the candidate Republican nomination for president, who is vocal in his opposition to gay marriage.
The couple, who reside in New York, were first married at the Old Royal Naval College Greenwich on January 7, 2007 after two years of dating.
At 21, Cumming married his RSADA classmate Hilary Lyon.
Overjoyed: The celebration took place on the five year anniversary of the couple's civil partnership in London
They split eight years later, and Cumming was later engaged to his Circle of Friends co-star Saffron Burrows.
The X Men star, who was awarded an OBE in 2009, has labelled himself as bisexual in previous interviews.
Speaking to Oasis magazine in 2007, he said it had always been known among his inner circle, but he felt the need to 'come out' publicly.
'It was all sort of there, but when you become more famous then you realize you've got to say something... just to clarify it and talk about it, and make sure it was talked about in terms that I approved of because people try and claim you, I think. The gay community tries to claim you, the straight community tries to claim you.'
Long time love: The actor has been with Shaffer since 2005
'But I felt that was more for press stuff, because I just felt I was being misrepresented a lot of the time, mostly with people saying I was straight.
'It is confusing for people because I'd been married before. Now I'm married again, to a man, but I'd been married to a woman, and gone out with women. And then, I hadn't really had regular relationships with men, long-term ones, I mean.

Tamara Mellon Enjoys Sunbathing On St Barts Beach

She might be 44, but Tamara Mellon still boasts a figure that women half her age would be proud of.
The Jimmy Choo co-founder showed off her toned figure in a sexy animal-print bikini as she hit the beach with her daughter in St Barts yesterday.
The skimpy string two-piece highlighted Tamara's enviable curves as she enjoyed a dip in the cool water after a spot of sunbathing.
But it seemed perhaps the swimwear wasn't the most supportive option for Tamara, as the mother-of-two appeared to be struggling and looked surprised as she got caught up in a large wave while swimming in the sea.
However, the waves didn't stop Tamara from looking effortlessly stylish, and the former footwear tycoon clutched a pair of dark sunglasses as she splashed around.
Tamara has had an eventful year which saw her step down as director of luxury accessories brand Jimmy Choo.
But the pretty brunette is clearly looking forward to a successful New Year, and wrote on her Twitter page yesterday: 'Happy New Year !!! What you think you will manifest - so think positive 2012 !!'
It was announced in November that Tamara would be stepping down from her role at Jimmy Choo, in a departure which came five months after she made £85million from the £525.5million sale of the business.
At the time of the sale Tamara was said to be staying on in a creative consultancy role and that she, along with other senior members of the Jimmy Choo management team, would become shareholders in Labelux, the luxury firm that bought Jimmy Choo in May.
In a post entitled Goodbye Note on her A Day, A Thrill blog earlier this year, Tamara had posted: 'I am so proud of all we have achieved at Jimmy Choo over the last 15 years and know that the best is yet to come….Love Tamara x.'
The fashion tycoon took to her Twitter account @TamaraMellon to tell her followers personally, thanking them for their support in a tweet.
She said: 'Just retweeted all of your amazing messages - Thank you all my tweet friends. I will keep you posted!'
